"VIVA" meaning, "live" was the name chosen by Viva Dance & Entertainment Co. under the Direction of Argentine born Dancer & Choreographer: Christian Drogo. To capture the passion expressed through dance & music evoked by the Latin Culture.
Established in 1995, VIVA has become highly recognized as one of Australia's leading Latin American Dance Company's & pioneers of the TANGO Argentino movement in Melbourne. In 2003, VIVA moved from its humble 10 year location of "Viva Dance Studio" on Johnston Street Collingwood to its new residence now known as the VIVA CABARET offering lovers of performing arts, world music, dance & entertainment, an exclusive new venue which embraces & celebrates the magic of all of Latin America. Together, Christian Drogo, Graduate of Argentina's National Academy of Arts in Rosario & Associate Kristina Diaz, graduate of Deakin University B.A. B.Ed in Performing & Visual Arts, combine their passion & expertise into a total entertainment concept... a true cultural experience. VIVA DANCE is situated in the heart of the Latin quarter of inner city Melbourne. We look forward to entertaining you!
